Exercise physiologist and wedding personal trainer Cortney Whitebay firmly believes in the power of connection and support. Stressed out couples in the midst of wedding planning benefit from a personalized fitness plan and spending time together. Cortney creates unique fitness programs which offer support in the areas the bride, groom, or couple feel they most need to focus. With every person and body being unique, no two personalized fitness programs look alike and couples should not be forced into a ‘cookie cutter’ approach to fitness.
I’ll be honest…going into this conversation, I expected to get some overall fitness tips about how to look great in your wedding dress. But this conversation got SO much deeper than that! Cortney shared a story of a couple she’s working with and how their connection is a blessing for her to witness. They support each other and cheer each other on, no matter how difficult their workout routine.
Wedding Tip:
BE CONSISTENT! Even if you take baby steps toward better health, they are steps in the right direction. Celebrate every win, even if you don’t think adding more veggies or drinking water is a stupendous accomplishment. When you’re consistent with your health, you also show your partner that you’re dedicated to caring for yourself and that you care enough for them to embrace a healthy lifestyle.
Healthy lifestyle changes also invoke an improved sense of confidence, which is what many brides want when it comes to looking amazing in their dress!
As with any wedding vendor, shop around and conduct interviews to find the wedding personal trainer that jives best with your personality and overall philosophy of what you want to achieve before your wedding day.
