All brides need to carefully consider a lot of things when choosing their wedding photographer. It is important to know that their personality, shooting style, and prices will meet your needs and that you will feel comfortable with them having such a big part in your day.

You need to know about their equipment. Some new photographers just starting out may be using consumer grade equiptment and built-in on-camera flashes, which are insufficient for taking pictures in a dark reception hall. Also, it's not neccesary but nice to know if your photographer has worked at a certain church/reception hall before. Relationships with caterers, D.J.'s, officiants and videographers are built along the way in a photographer's career, and everyone working together is very important.

Last but not least, a bride and groom must LIKE their photographer. It is important to like their photographs, and equally as important to like them as a person! You will spend alot of time with them on your wedding day. You will be nervous, excited, and at times confused. A wedding photographer's personality should be one to set your mind at ease, and get the job done without adding to your stress.
